Who is Elissa Leonard Jerome Powell Wife?

Elissa Leonard is a director and producer. She is currently an executive producer on Bruce Beresford's film "Ladies In Black," a comedy based on Madeleine St. John's Australian novel The Women in Black.

She produced and directed "Sally Pacholok," a cinematic film based on the accurate tale of an ER nurse who goes up against the medical establishment after Elissa discovers a misdiagnosis epidemic. Annet Mahendru plays the lead role in the film.

She worked as a producer/writer for WNET-TV Channel 13's Innovation series (for which she received two New York Emmy Awards), as a Senior Story Editor for National Geographic Television's Explorer series.

In addition, she was also a producer for The Educational Film Center's Powerhouse and Give and Take series.

Elissa is a member of the Levine Music Board of Trustees and the Chevy Chase Historical Society Board of Directors. Elissa is a mother of three grown children.

In 1979, she graduated from Harvard with a bachelor's degree in Visual and Environmental Studies and Government. Elissa was educated in the Montgomery County Public Schools.
